Passengers wanting to fly in the Qantas First Class cabin better get in quick as the flights will only be on for a limited time. Currently Qantas has scheduled their A380s on the Sydney – Hong flights between 1 December 2018 and 28 March 2019.

During the peak season months, Qantas regularly brings the A380 onto the Sydney – Hong Kong route. This is due to the higher passenger numbers travelling to Hong Kong and through to other Asian destinations. For a while now, Qantas hasn’t sold First Class as a stand alone product on this flight, instead keeping the seats available for Platinum and Platinum One Qantas travellers who have purchased a Business Class ticket.

For something different this year, Qantas is opening up their First Class cabin on the A380 for purchase which is showing they think there is still a market for this cabin. Currently Qantas are flying their A380s from Sydney / Melbourne to Singapore and then onto London so being able to head to another city in Asia gives those avgeeks and high spending flyers a chance to experience a service without compromise.

Qantas said this about their First Class offering: “For us, luxury is about more than just beautifully appointed décor, or the finest food and wine. True luxury is the feeling that comes with knowing that even the smallest details are taken care of. Whether you’re on business or pleasure, whether you’re dining, sleeping or relaxing, Qantas First is a cut above.”

The flights will be daily between Sydney and Hong Kong. QF127 departs Sydney at 930am, arriving into Hong Kong just before 4pm. On the return QF128 departs Hong Kong at 625pm and arrives back into Sydney the next morning just before 7am. Passengers wanting to fly further than Hong Kong are able to use Cathay Pacific onto numerous destinations.

The Qantas A380 First Class cabin has 14 suites arranged in a 1-1-1 configuration that is located at the front of the plane on the lower deck. The seat is more like a comfortable armchair which converts into an extra wide, fully flat bed. Although the seats are around 10 years old, they put a lot of work into the comfort and quality so it still competes with some of the best in the industry.

The release of seats on the Qantas A380 First Class product is a great option for travelling to Hong Kong from the 1st of December. You aren’t going to find a product that matches the Singapore Airlines First Class Suite or Emirates First Class Suite, however this is still a very high quality product.

It’s a great way to earn your points and keep that status and for the price during peak season, it’s a great option to experience top class service and a very comfortable product.
